Great unit! Scheduled delivery was late though.
I have installed 2 18000btu units myself. This is the 2nd purchased one. It came 3 days late due to backlogging with the carrier. Couple calls to Amazon to straighten it out. I am a house painter with zero electrical or hvac experience. I found a couple YouTube videos showing how to hook up the A/C disconnect box and install the breaker. I used 12/3 romex and it only required 12/2. So I cut the white wires at each end clean at the insulation on the wire. Square D 20 amp, 2 pole breaker, rated for 120/240 volts. I left the breaker in the OFF position while popping it into the panel. My pre-charged lines came missing one of the caps on the ends, which was not a problem. The piece you slide into the wall for the lines came cracked, but again not a problem because it's hidden behind indoor unit. Make sure to use at least a 4 inch lineset cover for ease of install. (If you do use one!) I did manage to get a 3 inch to work, but barely! I really did my homework on these things and Mr Cool offered the greatest reviews with the best overall price and energy ratings. The 18k unit cools about 1000 sq ft of my home comfortably. Waiting for winter to test the heating, but I think it will be sufficient.
